The JH Track & Field team had an impressive showing at the Deckerville Quad Meet on Wednesday, April 16! Boys Highlights: Tanner Miller took 1st place in Long Jump with a PR of 12’9”! He also set personal records in both the 70m dash and the 55m hurdles. Owen Williams earned PRs in the Long Jump and 55m Hurdles. Girls Highlights: Macy Polega claimed 2nd place in the 800m with a PR of 3:31.32, and also placed 2nd in the 1600m with a time of 7:37. Fiona Phillips jumped to 2nd place in Long Jump with a PR of 13’5.5” and earned 2nd in the 100m dash with a time of 15.52. Allena Saenz took 3rd place in the 400m dash with a PR time of 1:23.12. Julia Polega earned 3rd in High Jump with a PR of 3’10”. More PRs to Celebrate: Emily Deacons set personal bests in the 100m dash, 70m dash, and Long Jump. Julia Polega also earned a PR in the 200m dash. Allena Saenz hit PRs in the 55m Hurdles and High Jump. Way to go, Warriors! The team is back in action on Monday at Kingston for their next Quad meet—good luck!
