North Huron Varsity Warriors Come Up Short Against Peck By GameChanger Media North Huron Varsity Warriors could not keep up with Peck 6-3 on Thursday at Gallup Park. North Huron Varsity Warriors were the first to get on the board in the first when Jacob Koroleski singled, scoring two runs. In the bottom of the first inning, Peck went back into the lead after Dorian Abrego doubled to left field, Aidan Alfaro walked, and Lucas Trombley walked, each scoring one run. Peck added one run in the second after Peck scored on a wild pitch. Peck added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Trombley singled to left field, and Brandon Affer lined out, each scoring one run. Cal Heiden earned the win for Peck. The hurler gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking two. Griffen Schipinski pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for North Huron Varsity Warriors. The left-handed pitcher gave up two hits and two runs (zero earned) while, striking out three and walking one. Kaleb Brandt-Antoszewski took the loss for North Huron Varsity Warriors. The left-handed pitcher went one and one-third innings, surrendering four runs (three earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking three. Koroleski provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led North Huron Varsity Warriors with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-2 on the day. Trombley, Abrego, Heiden, and Grady Welch each collected one hit for Peck. Trombley and Abrego each drove in one run for Peck. Cam Watson stole two bases. Peck stole four bases in the game. North Huron Varsity Warriors welcome All Saints Central on Monday for their next game.
